Boy Scouts traveling across the U.S. visit Missoula
Looking for an awesome 50-miler idea for scouts? Or just a summer trek? I love what this troop is doing to incorporate leave no trace with hammocks on their trek:
“We have managed to sleep in our hammocks for like 90% of the nights, even when there’s only two trees in our campsite. Triple stack the hammocks and make it work,” Brandon Bolick told MTN News.
Love to hear this. Unfortunately the council in Austin Texas discourages hammock camping, not even allowed to use a hammock stand.
That’s unfortunate.
