Did I mention the Dutch Hook was small? I was surprised when I saw it for the first time. Hammock hanger MuseJr was showing off his assortment of DutchWare at a recent group hang in Arizona, explaining how it all worked together. The Dutch Hook is primarily used for rigging a tarp and can be used with end only lines or a continuous ridge line. My friend Stu at WhoopieSlings.com will install Dutch Hooks with a spliced fixed eye on one end, which is a great way to keep from losing the hook.
UPDATE: For a simpler, quicker method to rig a tarp with a Dutch Hook, check out my post on a continuous ridge line with a hammock tarp.
