Thanks Goose! I really appreciate it. One thing I’d like to invest in here in the near future is better audio equipment to get better sound quality out in the field when I do reviews. We’ll see if my budget proposal gets approved by my wife 🙂

Seriously, I highly value your reviews, Derek. I recommend your book and website to everyone ask me about getting started in hammock hanging.

Thanks for sharing your experiences and expertise with all of us. The book is fantastic and the calculator is a great help for getting the of things (building experience.) I’ve been through some of your reviews, but they’re all just chronological thoughts and are difficult to find targeted information without starting with “I wonder what Derek thinks of ____.”

What about adding review assessment, data, and/or features (what you think the strengths are, construction, size, type, cost, stretch, feel, etc. – with links to the reviews maybe) to your manufacturers table? That would help someone access your knowledge to fit their own discovery.

Like the combination of data points you mentioned in this video, which hammocks would be a most likely good fit for someone my height and weight who is looking for lightweight backpacking use…etc.?

Cheers.

I think you do a good job of that for the most part without saying that one or two weakness means that a hammock has no place.

By reading your reviews I was able to make two good decisions when I purchased hammocks for camping. One hammock was one you had reviewed. The other is a hammock you mentioned in a short clause of another review. That short clause gave me the info I needed to make an informed decision to buy a hammock that I am happy with. So……keep up the good work in putting out informed objective reviews. LW
